To develop a useful place where I can share my resume & web design portfolio with potential employers/professional contacts, while at the same time letting them get to know me a bit.  I also wanted to host a personal blog here to avoid moving between whatever social networks & platforms go in and out of favor over the next few years.

The site utilizes one of the coolest Joomla templates I've seen yet - it actually runs on a timer so that the light bulb is off during the day & on at night.  Also included are a handy tag cloud for blog posts, a rotator of links to projects by my "Friends & Favorites," and two tools allowing me to share some fun stuff I've accumulated - a "Cool Quote" module & a links section to make favorite bookmarks both shareable & portable.
